This innocuous book came to my attention and it’s passed many times since. I had no tendency to peruse its contents for I had ceased to believe in miracles. I was using all my energy to stave off the hell I descended into 15 years earlier by marrying a man as un-Godly as anybody could be.

I had secured a divorce however was still dealing with the fallout. As I grasped the publication, I became composed and really thoughtful. What exactly was it about this book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced in a very long time? My hand clung to the book refusing to place it down. Recognizing that this was a indication that I had better take a closer look, I made a cup of tea and sat in my favorite reading chair. With fantastic curiosity, I concentrated on the blue hardcover and read”A Course in Miracles, a foundation for inner peace.” Wow. Fine, I decided to bite although that was a pretty bold statement. I pondered the very obvious question: What IS the foundation for inner peace? An old wound instantly opened and it had better have the solution to healing.

“A Course in Miracles” is really a course. Written in three parts, can’t be completed at a month or a week and this publication is not to be taken lightly. There is a workbook for students text and also a manual for teachers. I had the urge to fling the book across the room because I had been profoundly afraid and deeply. I was I ready for the journey ahead and realized that once I started reading this book, I was going to have to alter?

The main character Neo is looking for the reply. He understands the matrix is present but he does not know what it is. The guy with the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and gives the chance by providing Neo a choice between taking a pill or a pill. Take the blue pill and stay ignorant or take the red pill and discover the answer. Neo that if he pick the red pill is cautioned by Morpheus before he reaches for his pill of selection , he could never go back to the life he had been living.

Do I examine it and change everything I understand about the world and myself or do I take the blue pill and also make”A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder? As I choke down the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 from the workbook for students and immediately read,”Nothing I see in this room means anything”. Oh dear. Is it too late to take the pill? A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is a non-dualistic spirituality which contains a set of guidelines regarding the psychotherapy of the split mind. Knowing these metaphysical aspects aids from the application of these principles when making choices, included in ACIM. Without real application, these principles are only thoughts; but with program they become an experience, and everything changes. The portion is a identifier of the ego notion system as well as a reminder of what’s true about ourselves.

Looking at descriptions on newspaper and becoming conscious of their characteristics is of great benefit in being aware of what you’re choosing both against and for. Keep them handy, and refer to them frequently as you navigate the choices. Below are a few very simple things to consider about the metaphysical aspects of ACIM: The Un-Healed Mind – that the super-unconscious mind is the”tiny mad idea” of separation began. It’s accessible via the understanding of what’s going on in your life. The brain remembers where it came from; although the ego does not want you to remember that the idea was just a choice. When you opt for the Spirit Right Mind, it obviously returns to calmness.

The Split Mind – that the unconscious mind includes sin, fear and guilt from that separation idea. Since it divides this is the cornerstone of the ego’s thought system of ruling. Bear in mind the judgment of the ego over: Separation is a sin punishable by death. It says you must be fearful; also puts guilt in the mind for having separated. The kill or be killed (the other) ego judgments as seen from the sub-conscious and conscious behaviours start to make sense considering their source in the mind.
